Well actually, I dry them inside on a clothes horse drier thing. Its always prefectly heated here to a cosy 22˚C -- the buildings here are insultated really well, and I have TRIPLE glazing. So its always very warm and dry inside. So we don't even need to dry it outside. But I guess you can do in the summer.
But yeah, my mother hated really hated drying clothes on the raditors - I was totally forbidden from doing it. But then, the UK climate is pretty damp, and the houses are basically crap when it somes to heat insultion and dampness.
I still dry stuff though in the UK without the luxuary of a drier, I always have done. You just been to wait about three days before its ready!!
