I'm getting cockily around animal products my self these days (but I'm not a vegetarian yet). I had to force myself to eat scrambled eggs the other day because I found a dead baby inside and I couldn't fish it out properly. It put me off somehow, maybe reminded me a bit of the pickled baby we used to keep in the cupboard of our biology class with its shrivelled little umbilical cord. I'm fine with sausages and burgers though.
Do you have carling Sunday in the US? I think it's some time around now (maybe it's already gone?) where people eat black peas with salt and vinegar? Anyone else know what I'm talking about? I know what you mean about the veg thing, I'm okay with horseradish - it's turnip that makes me retch. I think it stems from one time emptying my grandma's bedpan after she'd had turnip diahrrea and the association lingered with me?
