Help me break out of my introvert rut

Posted by DannaB on May 5, 2007, at 22:30:16

I have posted about this before. Basically, I am an introvert and it's *really* hard for me to push myself to meet new people or do new things. I always seem to have an excuse..."yes, ultimate frisbee sound fun but I don't want to commit to it," "I love yoga but I can't afford it" or "I would love to go out tonight but I'm just SO TIRED. For some reason, I am scared to try new things even though I'm bored and lonely a lot of the time.

Sometimes I almost feel like I need another friend to act as my security blanket. I do have one friend who I do things with, and I enjoy trying new things with her. But she's very busy and I need to learn how to push myself to do things on my own.
