It is terrifying!! And, impossible to get around and do things :-( We have had a number of ice storms where I live, but one really major one a few years ago that affected 3 provinces. I was out walking (or trying to walk) my dog, and we just barely got past a tree that had electrical wires hanging from it and it came down and just barely missed us. All I heard was zapping and cracking. It freaked me out. Couldn't scurry home like I would have wanted, given the icey conditions, but I sure was more careful when I went out the next time.
I'm sorry to hear about the woman who got killed :-( That is very sad. I hope the weather conditions start to improve soon. We have been lucky here so far this year and have not had to contend with freezing rain and ice this winter. I hope it stays that way for the rest of the winter.

And you pray that the next tree branch to come down is not about to come crashing down on your car. On your house. On you. There's not really much time to get out of the way of a really big branch.
