Dinah,

I always enjoy reading your posts. You make the most astute observations. I relate to the feeling of making things difficult for those around me. I sense that my creative and eclectic sense of style is sometimes an embarrassment to those that have to show up at events with me.

I also have long, thin, straight hair. What's a girl to do? I wear mine in a ponytail to get it out of the way.

I don't know if I could do 'normal' clothes. If you've ever watched TLC's 'What Not To Wear,' All I can say is Clinton & Stacy would have a field day in my closet. My favs are pants with various 60's era lifeguard shack photos pasted all over them, khaki pants with bright red lobsters printed on them, anything gold, sequined (sp?), black leather, vintage.

Seriously, I can't imagine that your husband and son would find it hard to be with you. They sound lovely from what you've posted. I am particularly impressed that your DH could quote the line from Smokey & the Bandit about racing up to Boston for some clam chowder. I got a big chuckle out of that! : ) I think I've seen that movie a couple dozen times.

Regards,
happykat : )
