hopefully this year will be much better than the last (did i mention 28 HOURS of labor???!!!???). last year was full of something, but it always makes for good story telling, recalling the fire. i awoke my husband (fire started in attic, bad wires) at 4 am to "%*#$& I think the house is on fire!" i told him to run into the kitchen (with flames shooting otu everywhere!!) to get my cigarettes (hey, i jsut knew i'd need one!) poor guy even attempted it (see, my husband would run through fire to bbring me a cigarette). and, i remeember being so indecisive about what i was going to put on. (well, if i can only grab 1 set of clothes, what would they be?) after searching through clothes (oh honestly, i had no idea what was going on!) i grabbed his grandpa's old bibs (what? can you believe that? old-man bibs!) no socks, tennis shoes (why? why didn't i grab my leather boots? why did i have to try to think logically? but, i know that the boots wouldn't have matched the bibs anyway.) and, at least we grabbed the tin. needed that too!
about my duckie being so gosh darn cute: he is! he's now learned 'da da da' (thanks mr. kk). not so much as a momma until he's screaming, then he kinda sounds like he's screaming for me. he'll be crawling any day now and this christmas is going to be SOOOO much better than last year. (we've decided on chinese food for christmaas day. after that feast for thanksgiving, we want to relax! my nerves still haven't recovered from thanksgiving).
about your mom seeing my portrait painted above your bed: well, that's a whole lot easier to explain than the blow up doll and edible undies, isn't it?

(i've finally narrowed down who the father could be and it's between bill gates (duh!) or george clooney. i'm awaiting paternity results before contacting my lawyer for support. i'm kinda hoping bill's the father, as georgie boy doesn't seem the type to take responsibility for his actions.
