I think it's wonderful that you are passionate about this. There's absolutely no need to apologize :)

It's amazing to get to know a creature, a wild animal. awe-inspiring. I cannot even imagine it. Maybe when I get some free time, I will check it out. thanks!

> One last thing, if you think tigers are cool (and they are) you should look into leopards. They are just outright scary scary scary.I have always had a soft spot (literally?) for tigers. I was on a trek in Thailand and we found tiger prints on the riverbank. Our guide said that they were probably 2-3 days old, but it's enough to send shivers up my spine!
My sister-in-law had a baby tiger kitten as a housepet. It fell down the stairs and perished. Really sad. The whole episode. She probably thought that she could "tame" it? I dunno. Or maybe she was rescuing it from some worse situation. :(

That's why I like cats so much (domesticated and otherwise) because they have so few adaptations for social behavior (lions being the exception) that for us humans to form a bond with them feels truly extraordinary.
I don't like cages either. I rescued my cat from a cage at the no-kill shelter and make donations for other abandoned pets. (((((fluffilykitty)))))
Poor kitties. Well, at least they have a Maddie to give them raw chicken, and perhaps they enjoyed the extra special seasoning your thumb provided (*grin*)
