Matt certainly has garnered some attention as to his truthfulness or not in his postings.
I believe the fact is: in this type of board interaction, it is impossible to know the truthfulness or deceptiveness of what anyone is posting. Moreover, it’s even more difficult to know the reason(s) behind why someone would be truthful or be deceptive. I also believe that most of the opinions, suggestions, compassions and kindnesses that are posted as follow-ups are based on information provided. That being the case, it is the responsibility of the original poster as to the original post's validity. Therefore, while deception may not be wanted or desired as a way of interacting on the board, the impact is probably more on the poster of the deception than it is on the folks who may extend and reach out to them.
