Something everyone who posts on a forum such as this should consider...
I made a post a little over a week ago 8/13/06 on my thoughts about my life and many kind people responded. I forgot to thank them, but I just wanted to let those who replied, and in fact anyone who happened to read and consider what I had wrote, that I really appreciate it. Sometimes when I'm "feeling better" I forget to visit this site, which was the case.
What I'd like everyone not to forget is that when someone makes a post, and others reply, just because that person may not reply, or many not thank you, or may not reply reaffirming your point, that does not mean your thoughts were not acknowledged, considered, or appreciated.
In my case the replies those people meant a lot, and helped a lot.
I just hope that when you reply to someone's thread, and you may not receive any written acknowledgment, that does not mean your reply was made vain. It may have meant a lot to the person you were replying to (although they may have not been able to find the words to tell you), or even more, it may have been useful advice to someone simply lurking (reading the posts, but not participating in the conversation).
The advice of the people on here have helped me greatly and I'm sure the same is true for many many others, who may or may not have been able to find the words to acknowledge it, or even more likely, your advice may have helped trigger a positive note in that person's life, causing them to forget about the post that helped them!
But I just wanted to say thanks!
