The folks in South Dakota are fond of some woodchuck stew, I've heard. Open season on woodchucks limits the amount of wood chucked.I think that the amount of wood chucked is some variable of sharpness of teeth, hardness of wood, strength of jaw pressure, and the sheer willpower of the little rodent. An apathetic woodchuck will not chuck as much as an ardent woodchucker. And why are they called woodchucks anyways?
