Grrrrr!!!

Posted by TexasChic on July 25, 2006, at 19:56:02

Okay, work was really frusterating today. As I'm being trained I'm beginning to realize I know alot more about the programs than the people training me do. I swear I'm not being egotistical! I know I'm going to need them to teach me the particulars about the company, and there's always something to left to learn about a program, always. But they don't even understand my QUESTIONS! And that wouldn't be so bad, I wouldn't even MENTION it except they seem to think I'm the one who doesn't know anything!!!

Its really only the chic I'm replacing who's making the assumptions, and I was warned ahead of time that she was a 'know it all', but I feel like the others are listening to her. I mean, why wouldn't they, they don't know any different.

She got pissed off at me today and told others I didn't know that much about the program. It was VERY simple stuff she was telling me, and she wouldn't listen to me when I tried to explain that I knew how to do it. I mean, here's a simplistic example of how it went; I ask where to put my purse, and she says, "Okay, first you have to OPEN the drawer, then you have to PLACE the bag IN IT." And I say, "Yes, but which cabinet do I...." And she interrupts: "You're not listening, you have to OPEN the drawer." That's how she was explaining things to me. And because I wasn't rivited to this annoying stuff, she decided I didn't know anything. Grrrr! I know I've got to just have patience and eventually everyone will know the truth, but its just so annoying!

I just needed to get that off my chest. I'm not really UPSET about this, its just ANNOYING!!!!
