Hi Deneb*
So many times, I have been feeling icky, ugly, low, depressed, lonely (fill in infintite negative adjectives) and I read one of your Happy Deneb posts and you make me smile. It's okay to express yourself on the boards. You may think that you're not helping anyone else by being "self-absorbed" and only posting stuff that you are interested in. But see, that's not true- When you write about your new hamster, or your enthusiastic Bob-love, you are sharing it. Even if I don't respond, i read the bob-love posts and you make me giggle or at least smile. Smiling really helps me. Also, when you write about your pain, and your struggles, it helps too, because others' struggles help us put our own in perspective.Racer's right. Just be yourself. Within the limits of civility, feel free to write about yourself, learn to be comfortable with you, for who you are. I like you just fine. i like most people just fine. I like all kinds of people. You don't have to try to change your style just because... It's okay just to be Deneb 100% Deneb*. We support you no matter what :) Sadness/pain/bob-love/existential angst/etc
we can handle it, if you can :)I think you're one of the most open, clear people on Babble. You're complex, but you share all sides with us- the giddiness, the fear of dying, the struggles of becoming an adult, the process of being treated for mental illness. Thanks for sharing all of this. It really helps.
yours,
-ll
