Yup! :-) What did you have to eat? What kind of ice cream was it?
>I spent the evening with my friend S. She is one of the few people IRL I have told about my depression, and she is okay with it. She didn't treat me like a freakazoid, even though I spoke of recent uncomfortable crises.
She sounds like a great friend who understands. I bet there are a lot more people like her out there, we just don't know it. I'm glad you have someone to talk to about your depression. I've heard that friends can be just as helpful as professionals in many cases.
> I've been trying really hard to have fun. I'm kind of out of practice... Speaking of practice, your post earlier about not having enough empathy is interesting, given that you've been writing a lot of supportive responses this evening. I think we're both on a roll :o)
:-) Yeah, I think you're right. LOL I've also been online for hours so that's probably why there are so many posts from me. LOL
I've read that it's important to force yourself to do fun things when you're is depressed. Many times just doing the fun things will lift ones mood. It's sort of like smiling. I've read that the physical act of smiling can actually make you less sad.
