Oh, Dinah's right. Try not to get sucked in. That's so hard, but it's so much healthier to offer what support you can and to maintain your boundaries. But dang it's hard with family and others you care about.

And yes, it does feel so overwhelming, frustrating, anger-provoking, helpless, etc. At least I've felt those feelings about family before. Grrr. It helps me to take some deep breaths and try to get some distance. Talking to my husband about it helps, too, because he doesn't tend to get sucked in, and he can help me see when I am.

At any rate, sending warm thoughts and comforting energy your way.
