Fascinating... went to the Canadian site and found none of my doctors, including the specialists, listed...
leaves one wondering if one is the only patient they havel LOLMonday I was sent to the eye institute for a test on my retinas as I am having problems with colour vision -- there are times when I see only in sepia tones or in rusts... and the colour vision problem had been getting worse. The test was ordered six months ago; a cancellation came up so I was called to see if I could fill the cancellation...
when the doctor who heads the clinic heard I was epileptic, there is a concern because the test involved strobe lights and other flashing lights, he asked about tegretol... and promptly ordered other tests...
the couple of hours turned into a whole afternoon as well as the part of the morning for which I had been booked...
the good news is that I am not taking the stuff any longer so there will be no further build-up therefore no further damage... the bad news is that it never goes away, the tegretol build-up stays in the retinas.
I go back for more tests in a couple of weeks once they have finished interpreting these ones, and then they start a treatment plan...
the really good news is that there is some improvement without continued tegretol...
I continue to wonder why they continue to use that stuff....
sigh
