Oops! Hi Wildcard. I just mentioned that in my reply to Clear Skies, but I didn't know much more about it.

Years ago, when I was away for a couple of days, my cat "answered" the phone, but she didn't say anything, and she didn't put the phone back on the hook! When I returned home, I found the phone off the hook. The next day, I spoke with a friend who said, "You know, the strangest thing happened the other day. I called you. Your phone rang, and then it stopped ringing, but nobody said anything. I hung up, called back, and the phone was busy! Every time I tried to call you for the rest of the weekend, the phone was busy." I thought that was so funny. My kitty had tried to answer the phone, but she couldn't speak, and without an opposable thumb, she couldn't pick up the phone and put it back on the hook.
