Well except that wasn't 1984 more of a statement on big brother, more the human state, more of an Animal Farm. Orwell wrote them both .. Orwell served time in Burma, maybe I should take some Orwell, yes I'll go see what the library has, there's some Indian-type reading .. and the British in India, this very interesting scrapbook.. need to find the Portuguese in India though..
my brain's a hundred miles a minute and my body's on STOP...
Noon again today, before I get out of here.
In any case I'm referring more to the Huxley-ish side of things, you know, "...the dangers of moral anarchy in a scientific age...." (from Chambers Biographical Dict) .. we're there, we're living science fiction and it's too much for us, we're not ready for it. It's akin to the state of vehicular traffic in countries which didn't experience an Industrial Revolution .. I mean, look at it, it's atrocious. They weren't ready for it either. And on the Autobahn, an accident is not like an accident in this country. You speed things up to much, you get badly hurt.
We're finding out.
