but i just wanted to add:
the first time i was in the hospital i was there some time and became friends with a woman with schizophrenia, constantly hearing voices. in one of our groups the leader had us write something down that we considered fun he would read them and we had to guess who wrote it...this lady kept guessing right...finally toward the end we asked her if she was cheating, she said yes... cuz the voices were telling her...we all laughed. she too had a really good sense of humor about her illness. Although i understand sometimes we are more sensitive than other times. so i hope i don't offend anyone by adding that memory.there's a quote by Bill Cosby that has truly helped me a lot: "if you can laugh about it you can survive it."
