hi Dinah,
this is a really interesting post! I've changed, too. My usual "uniform" (not mandated of course, but what I usually choose!) is dark pants and a nice, slightly form-fitting blouse. (Formed enough to show waist and boobs, loose enough not to accentuate any fat rolls at the tum!)I like dark jeans or black/brown pants that flare at the bottom a bit, but are not bells. I like blouses that are feminine but not too "fluffy." I like to pair it with a necklace & earring that match, and either sandals or flats that match too.
BUT...when I was younger and thinner...I used to LOVE wearing shorts to show off my muscular legs, and I also loved those knitted tank tops or other tank tops. I liked pretty short-skirt dresses. And I looked good in them, darn it all! (Wish I still did...)
I used to have wild and crazy colored hair; now it's normal color and shape.
I hope as I get older I stay stylish - even when I'm 90! I know orthopedic shoes are probably comfy, but I hope they start making them in more attractive styles and colors by the time I reach the age where I need them!
I guess I'm a conservative but (hopefully) stylish dresser. If I were thinner, I'd probably be more daring.
