What a great example of Paying it Forward!
I read an interesting editorial in yesterday's newspaper about (american) patriotism and how waving flags on the one hand, and on the other littering the streets and beaches shows disrespect to the country at the same time. It made me understand my own frustrations with the flag stuff to see it articulated that way.

It really struck a chord with me, just as being empathetic with people leads to others being empathetic with us.
