Tamara,
> As Lar said, there aren't enough posts on the board as it is. Besides, most of your posts are fun and entertaining - the kind that bring people away from their problems for a little while. Even when people post about things that they are going through, it helps others to see that they're not alone. I also have been experiencing sadness listening to music and watching TV or movies. There is often something in the words or the situation in the story that touches on something sad for me - either something missing in my life or a reminder of something sad I've experienced in the past. Sometimes they just remind me of happier times when I had more hope. Well, I'd better stop before I make you worse. Anyway, there's a reason they call it melancholia!

-- Thanks, Kara, you are so nice. I'm sorry you are experiencing it too, although it is nice to know I am not alone with these feelings. Music has always been the one thing I could count on, and when it makes me sad, it is almost unbearable. But, today the music is on, and it isn't as bad. Phew!!!! I think you are right that music takes us back to other times - some happy, some sad, some good, some bad - and perhaps we subconsciously mourn the loss of innocence and good times and regret mistakes made, missed opportunity, bad decisions, misspent years and the things we didn't do as well as we could have (if that makes any sense at all).

I'm glad you were able to enjoy music on your walk yesterday.

Take care, and have a good day today.

Tamara
