I think so. But, a person can feel unfulfilled in one area of their life, but still feel generally contented I think. For example, a person may be in a bad relationship or not be enjoying their job anymore, but the person knows that they have choices and can make changes to those areas in order to feel fulfilled. So, since a person has the ability to make choices and changes, it can help alleviate or reduce any discontent or misery a person may be experiencing. I guess what I am trying to say is that we are never (or maybe almost never) completely stuck in what could be a miserable situation. Sometimes we may be temporarily stuck while we make plans, etc., but as long as we know that we have the ability to influence our future, then perhaps we can get through a difficult situation. I don't know, I am no Pollyanna or anything, but I suppose I am learning that if something in my life is bugging me then I am the only one who can change it or change how I look at it.
