I guess you could say that about my TV and me also.
It receives no channels, indeed, is not connected to any type antenna. It gives me visual images from input by my computer, or my vcr/dvd player or my videocamera.
I talk to it a lot when doing those things. It suffers abusive language well and has yet to show any signs of effect from such. I use it for a note board, also, which, I suppose, could be called a social interaction, even if it is only a reminder on a sticky note.
When viewing movies I often converse with characters or give a commentary on the plot, the writing, the directing, casting, stunts, you name it.
Is this social activity?
