> I do sometimes. I like, and actually need, my hermit phases. There are times when all I want to do is go to work, then come home, take my dog for a walk and do things like read and listen to music. It's nice to be alone, and not have to be "on" and "up" all the time. My recent period of self-imposed solitary confinement has gone on much longer than usual, and I am running of excuses for not going out and socializing with friends and family. I am hoping that adding a new med will pull me out of it. We'll see.
>Sometimes we need those times to recharge our batteries. It's too hard to socialize when you don't feel like it. I suppose if it goes on for too long, then it might take a toll. I think it's also different if you have the options to go out with others but you choose to stay home alone. It's also different if you're getting out and going to work and interacting with others there. I've gone for months at a time with very little human contact. I hope I'm never in that place again.
