I may have mentioned that my Dad was an avid model railroad builder and train coach collector. He would make the most stunning railroad models with little people and stations and trees and lakes. He was about to embark on a project that was all he wanted to accomplish before dying. This little poem was written by my uncle (Dad's brother)for his program for the service on Monday. My uncle has captured my Dad's sense of humour so perfectly. I wanted to share it. Sabrina
Now there’s a problem,
Here on Cloud Nine‘Coz I’m up here building,
this railroad of mineSt. Peter’s upset,
at this twist of fateMy main line now runs,
through the Pearly GateAnd the garrett chugs on
with its smoke and its smellAnd those who don’t like it,
Can go straight to ………...
