i've been following the AD for children debate, and i work for a pharma company, so what i've seen so far is that it seems to not be affecting adults in the least... "it's all about the children" is the attitude.
which is just as bad, because these children are going to grow up to be adults... just like many of us. had they have been treated as youngsters (and monitored for suicidal ideations and attempts), perhaps they wouldn't grow up to have our problems. perhaps they'll grow up to be happy and healthy and understand their illness better.
i don't regret much in my life, but i'm very sorry i never received any help as a teen. perhaps if i had, things wouldn't be so out of control now.
i feel so sorry for the youngsters who might not receive the treatments they need because of these recent actions.
