Best way to clean cat hair off tiles and HW floors

Posted by CatFanatic on September 17, 2004, at 13:28:44

Got lots of dust and dust bunnies, tons of cat hair, and some shedded human hair on tiles and hardwood floors. No carpet. Looking for best method to quickly and effectively clean up. Right now I have a broken broom, a sweep broom and a dust pan with a 1 ft sweeper. DOn't want to get on my hands and knees, and keep weeping the same place over and over again as I try to get the dust into the pan. Also hate having to constantly use my hands to take hair off the broom or brush.

How effective is a shop vac? I also need to get into tight spaces. WIll a shop vac be able to suck in the cat hair? I want something to suck in all the dust, and cat hair. Will a shop vac clog? Or does it use filters and screens. Hope someone else here has pets .
