I know of no tricks to get around the ending with a preposition thing. Personally, I have different standards regarding this rule between spoken and written english. Speaking, I think it's perfectly fine to end in prepositions (except using AT, as in Where are you at?). Writing something formal however, you just have to use the old "in which, for which, etc."
