Hi Indie,
An internist is a doctor that only treats adults, they're sometimes called doctors of internal medicine, too. Anyway, they don't see kids like family medicine docs do.
I've never gone to one, a family med doc used to prescribe my ADs until I got beyond her, so I'm in the pdoc med world now.
