Oddly, My name is Scott and I live in Vermont.
I'm 36, father of 2 children (1 each, 6 and 8 years old); I work in telecommunications for a profession, but prefer being outside running a chainsaw or digging a ditch. I like to "work".
I play guitar and have for many years. I also like archery, hiking, mountain biking, and collecting weird looking rocks.
I do a lot of woodworking, and like to build things. I make bookcases, cabinets, chests, and birdhouses... I like working with my hands. I also carve wood, and even though I'm not very good at it, it's a satisfying endeavor.
Basically, I have to be busy every waking moment of every day. Thankfully, I have an awful lot to distract me. Work (meaning my job) is the hardest place to be, because when it slows down, there's only so much busywork to be done.
I've been a Babbler for about a month, and have taken some decent advice from people. I don't post an awful lot, but enough where people recognize my screen name. :)
