Oh, my~~~~~I am transported back to Santa Fe, front row, middle, The Nashville Bluegrass Band singing "Blue Train"...they play a lot of songs that Gillian Welch writes. Her parents did the music for The Carol Burnett Show!! AHHH, mandolins and twin fiddles. Mac Wiseman, in the rain, at McAlester, Oklahoma, twin fiddles, and he had his guitar "perched" upon his fat tummy and he was pickin and grinnin and I thought I would die!!! I didn't even feel that rain! And I was in lust for Peter Rowan..still could be..."All Alone" by TNBB is a symphony in harmony. UNbelievable! I live in Oklahoma. I've seen Del McCoury here. Alan O'Bryant says you can't listen to banjo and be sad. Steve Martin has a comedy album out where he says Nixon would have done so much better if he had traveled through the country, getting off the train with a banjo, playing "Foggy Mountain Breakdown".....incidentally Steve Martin plays a very mean banjo!!!
AND the best for last! I play dulcimer!!!!! Bought one and taught myself. LOVE IT!!!!
