It's partly a joke, look at the initals of that phrase. ;-)
Having to work/study in a PhD program in a physical science under the handicaps of ADD (inattentive-type) was enormously stressful and I became dysthymic. I got locked into a downward spiral, basically. Dr. Daniel Amen calls this "the Wall". You go as far as your coping mechanisms take you then you hit it and crash.
With my head clearing up I can put things in proper perspective. Joy at having clarity and having this new perspective on my past helps to nip depressive thinking in the bud.
I can see that not many of the folks who read my posts last year check 'social' regularly. :-p
