Have you tried joining a book club or something like that to meet someone? Sometimes joining in a group with a similar hobby as you is a great way to not only meet a guy that doesn't scare the heck out of you, but also has something in common with you right off the bat.

Just a thought :)

Now on the other hand- the crazy ex-sister-in-law.... it's sad because she doesn't realize that her actions aren't hurting her ex-husband, but instead hurting her kids.
Isn't there a law that binds both parents (once divorced) to pay for the children, as in child support?

I hope you are doing ok. Try not to let other's burdens bring you down too much (I know that can be really hard).

And don't worry about finding love- s/he's looking for YOU! You just have to make sure s/he can find you :)
