The large majority of people do not sufficiently "hydrate". I'm puzzled by this phenomenon. I think perhaps the most efficient way to consume water, if the supply is limited, is to consume it gradually. For most of our evoloutionary history, the supply of water was indeed, limited. Hence, we drink it slowly, not realizing, you see, in our primitive brain stems, that more is readily available. My father and I shared a large pizza at a restaurant a few days ago. I ate two thirds of it in the same time it took him to eat half as much. I drank FOUR GLASSES of water, he drank less than one. Strange. As I dieting tip, it's so obvious as to be under the radar, butit DOES help to bloat yourself with water. In North Africa in 1940-43, Montgomery's British soldiers, as well as Rommel's Afrika Corps, had FAR, FAR, less water available to them than we Americans in either of The Gulf Wars, still they survived and fought like Hell. The most amazing thing is that the Brits felt compelled to use a substantial portion of their meager daily allowance of water....to make bloody TEA....which is a diuretic!
