Hello, Wildflower, et al. I guess I'm fortunate in that I don't have to stay on the Atkins diet all the time. I keep the carbs below 20 (I believe that's "induction"), and I lose about 4 lbs. a week. Then I have a grand old time gaining it back again! Two things to remember:
1) the lower you keep the carbs, the more weight you lose.
2) Even though the Atkins diet is not calorie centered, just like any other diet, the greater your level of activity, the faster you'll lose. I think it'd be great to have a treadmill in front of the TV. You could burn calories while you watch; alternatively, you could read.
