Hey, folks,
I imagine a fair number of you don't even know who I am, but I was a regular poster a year-or-so ago. I guess I kinda got out of the routine.
Anyway, it seems rude, after all this time, to not check in and say hello. So, hello!
I'm well. I've had some bumps in the road the past couple of years, but they were managable. I still consider myself a psychopharm success story, but not an unmitigated success. At any rate, for the present, I'm doing well, and thankful for it. My work is going well. I'm getting married later on this October. I'm generally not depressed, though I need medication to maintain a euthymic state. I can't predict what tomorrow may bring, but so far so good. I'm happy.
Like I said, some of you may not know me from, well, Adam. Hopefully some of the old-timers will remember me. I was once so bad I wound up in the hospital, and had electrocunvulsive therapy to get me out of a deep, suicidal depression. Now I'm gainfully employed as a researcher, a homeownder, and soon to be a happy husband.
Things like this really can happen. I'm living proof. Maybe I'll be depressed again, some day. But I'm happy for today. And hopeful that all of you are well.
Cheers!
Adam
