hard to find a good psychiatrist....

hello,
Out of all the psychiatrists I have had(about 5-I've moved alot) I only liked the one I had for 5 years. I called him tonight to see if he could refer me to someone since I am new in the area and he didn't know anyone. I asked him if he could answer a medication question and he said he couldn't because he retired and didn't have a license anymore. I was pretty bummed out. I think I was so attached to him because during that time I felt he was the only one who looked out for me. I guess he was like my dad since my dad was so uninvolved in my treatment. Can anyone relate??
If not, it's still goo to "talk" about.
