Hi Fluffy,
We really are a friendly crew here on Social.
I've done both crafty things (mostly crossstitch) and artsy things (and I am completely un-artsy).
The crossstitch was quite soothing when I was in the depth of my depression. It gave my hands and what little was left of my mind something to do.
The artsy stuff was a real surprise to me. I don't have an artistic bone in my body. But sometimes I can explain something with a drawing or (more often) a sculpture that I can't explain well enough in words.
My sculptures are smaller (much smaller) than yours! Do you make lots of them? What do you do with them - have you found a market for them? It sounds like it is the contrast between the lumber and the cloth - hard and soft, rough and smooth. That brings lots of images to my mind. Some where the lumber is supportive, and some where it is oppressive. It sounds very interesting.
Welcome to Social!
