Books I'm thinking of reading. any suggestions?

Posted by bookgurl99 on May 20, 2003, at 22:28:29

Hey, in my quest to examine my spirituality and let go of my ego, I'm looking at a few books to read. (I'm a word person, big surprise, right?)

Can anyone recommend or comment on these?

1. I'm thinking of re-reading "Yoga and the Quest for the True Self". I read it two years ago, but I think reading it _after_ a nervous breakdown would let me see it in a different light.

2. Mark Epstein's "Going to Pieces without Falling Apart" sounds interesting. But is it genuinely useful, or is it just marketing the exoticisim of Buddhism?

3. "Living Buddha, Living Christ" It would be nice to get in touch with my childhood religion again.

. . and then I'm always open to learning of any good sci fi.
