> I'm home from work sick. I think I'm having emotional regression. Slept all day, had a bad dream, I was in some town that was half my town and half my hometown, it was dark and grainy. I was in line for a movie, the title wasn't up but I decided to go anyway.. I got to the window and they had just sold the last ticket.. he offered to punch my discount card anyway but I couldn't find it. I kept seeing people who almost looked like someone I know but they weren't. I didn't want to go home but was afraid to go into anyplace else alone. I twisted my ankle on the walk back to my car. There was a big maple tree. I woke up and felt terrible longing, lonely and homesick. Now I just feel like a big whiny baby.
Don't you just hate those kind of dreams? I used to have a lot of dreams that involved places and/or people that were half familiar.
Could it be because we are consciously perceiving these things in a distorted way, or maybe our subconscious mind is afraid that these people/places have changed - or maybe they really have changed? Or maybe WE have changed and they don't quite fit any more?
