Tabitha, can we help you stay away from those posts? You're right--you don't need that, at all.
For me, not only suicidal hoaxes, but even the ups and downs of repeated on/off suicidal messages, the sounding of big alarms type thing, makes me very ambivalent. I hate to be distant, cold and uncaring (because I'm not) but sometimes, I have to disengage to take care of myself. I feel that sometimes people are in a place in their lives when they need help that isn't realistically offered in a forum like this, and that I realistically cannot deal with emotionally. I think even in person, if I had a friend who had repeated suicidal crises and needed a higher level of care, I might have to set limits--not because I don't care about them, but because the support I am able to give is not enough and is not helping and is too taxing for me as well. Ie, not healthy for either of us.
So, if the rest of us can support you in setting boundaries for yourself to take care of yourself, let us know.
