> As far as holiday insurance goes, I've never had any problems. I've not even had anyone ask if I have any medical problems.. I think cos its only short term, they don't really ask these questions.. I used to have one year policies no problem, and now just buy when I'm going away, again, no problems!!
That`s encouraging. I have actually been away (abroad) whilst taking anti-depressants - I`ve been on various meds for over 10 years now. And I can`t actually remember having to answer those questions either. The reason I`m making these enquiries is that I read an article in the Depression Alliance magazine; they phoned around several major UK insurance companies with the info that they were taking anti-depressants, and were turned down by all of them.

My other thought is that, although my depression is (can be) pretty bad, I can`t envisage a situation where it would be a problem abroad. In other words, I can`t see me having to be admitted to hospital or anything - I haven`t been in hospital for 18 months now, and I`m fairly certain that I won`t be going back in. So maybe I could `get away with` not mentioning it ... Anyway, thanks for the reply, Nikki - it was much appreciated.
Anna.
