Hi Yaya, Welcome. My "Bible" through menopause (I'm 55 & 3 years period-free) was "Menopausal Years - The Wise Woman Way - alternative approaches for women 30-90" by Susun S. Weed. Ash Tree Publishing ISBN 9614620-4-3
It is the most amazing book. Susun spent 3 years talking with more than 10,000 women about their menopause. The book begins before menopause, when women are starting to notice this & that & wonder "is this the start of menopause?" For each 'symptom', she offers 6 steps for you to choose from. These are: Step 1 - Collect information (she gives information to make the 'symptom' easier to understand)
Step 2 - Engage the energy - visualizing, writing, yoga & various other ideas
Step 3 - Nourish & tonify (with herbs & various other methods)
Step 4 - Sedate/Stimulate - herbal tinctures; massage, etc.
Step 5a - use supplements
Step 5b - use drugs
Step 6 - Break & enter - she discusses various tests, hormonal therapies, operations generally offered by regular doctors. She discusses each step & offers suggestions that have worked for the women she's interviewed.
It was truly my bible during menopause, which, by-the-way is not necessarily a horrendous experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome again, yaya. warm thoughts, Kath
> Good morning, folks. I'm new to this group -- I stumbled across it while trying to research some of the various medications I take -- and I thought I'd introduce myself.

> I'm a 40-something stay-at-home mom (disabled) and I suffer from various medical problems. I'm on a slew of medications and have been trying to find the right combination for the last couple of years. I'm menopausal now, I think, which is really proving to be a challenge and I'm feeling really frustrated these days. I'm experiencing every emotion possible for humans on a daily basis and sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy.

> There are so many posts here, I can't read through them all. I don't know how I'll keep up, but you all seem so very nice and supportive, I thought I'd jump in and see how I do.
