Well, I'm really sorry to read about the issues your simple letter lead to. I, too, have had similar things happen to me in the past--both on-line and in real life, as I'm sure you have, too. I decided to not read your original post until I wrote this just to see how the innocent became the obsolete.
"I" statements are so great in theory, but in reality they seem, to me, to facilitate the status quos and allow for others to be complacent in always knowing it's not them that had problems but "I" (e.g., you in this example). This social work theory of I statement seems a great way for others to twist things out of context and allow even prepare then for the next attack.
Well, I cat wait to see where all this lead, or as I’m reading backwards in time, stems from...lol.
