Thank you all for reponding. People also see me as outgoing and funny, but inwardly I am very anxious and shy of interacting. As my anxiety level decreases though, I tend to not feel I have to be the "life of the party" in order to be liked. Interesting.
I am considering joining a "real people" group that meets once weekly. Honestly, since reading these posts and getting up the nerve to post myself I find myself more willing to engage other relationships. People I work with think of me as an extrovert but I really am quite introverted. Whew. Living that way takes too much energy and makes crashing all that more evident. All of my own making.
Hope you are feeling better Dinah. A fear of mine in posting is anxiety over what happens when I don't feel so well and cannot post as I might normally do. What a neat idea to just..., well...,just say that! Or to share that I just might not post at all for awhile. That reduces anxiety in just communicating that. That is pretty neat.
