After going to their site and reading about them:
Since the narrator of the poem threatens to "...wear purple and a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me...", they decided that they would each find a purple dress to complete the image.

How did they know purple and red were my college colours?!! Ack! I love it though. Nice link mouse. Thank you.
