Gabbi,Whomever told you this was either grossly misinformed or lying. It is clearly stated in my PDR (physician's desk reference) that depakote has a side effect of weight gain in something like 60% of patients. If you want, I can look it up and get the *exact* wording. Oh, and my PDR is something like the 2000 edition, so this isn't old information.
