All the children are sound asleep, husband is at work, drank a hot cup of coffee with tiger (marble) cake and now I'm enjoying a very Canadian tobacco product, nothing illegal about it, except perhaps the tax I've paid on it and that just depends on which way you look at it. I managed to have a peaceful quiet morning by sending the children to pick stawberries with my mother and tonight after two days of packing got the last of them into the freezer, though the sweet overripe ones I left out, about two litres worth for pancakes and just snacking. Dishes and laundry are caught up as much as I can hope for, there's always folding to do, but then there's always dusting and an animal hair that can be picked off the furniture around here. The wind is blowing from the north which makes the day feel refreshingly comfortable and would you believe my house is at 20c (68f for you americans) with no help from air-conditioning just by opening the windows.
So what do I have to complain about?
My son came up to me today and commented that my eyes were black underneath and asked why.
I'm tired.
