... that you have to experience something to know how to do/give it. (this is a general principle applied to many issues, not just this one.) and i find it to be true. sometimes it's important to put yourself in a position to accept love/gratitude/help from others. it's important to drop everything and get on your knees and play with a kid on the floor even if you don't initially feel like it. but the more you let yourself be loved by other people, the more it becomes who you are. and after a while you don't know how it happened but you notice that you have become just like those kids.
