Little mousie - my "sharp as wet liver" comment was just silly sarcasm, as an idea of how intelligent someone was. Another favourite (but wordier) is "as bright as a firefly in a beer bottle". I've picked up many of these over my years & wanderings over Canada. Maybe they're more Canadian idioms than any thing else.

- if he had twice the brains, he'd be a half-wit
- if he had another brain cell, it would be lonelyThere's quite a few more but when I try to consciously call them up, they won't come. I think I'm missing one of my 'bricks'.
